What do Blood Vessels have to do with Rosacea?

Blood vessels play an important role in the occurrence of rosacea. As the level of severity increases the blood present on the cheek and nose area starts becoming visible due to swelling. In some cases they even look like spider webs on the affected area.

Spots develop all over the facial skin which is quite similar to the skin of an alcoholic. But in the case of rosacea, they are caused due to inflammation of the blood vessels on the surface of the skin. That is why many people affected by rosacea are mistaken as drinkers and alcoholics. As a matter of fact, alcohol can aggravate rosacea but it is not a major cause of this disease. So, one the major causes that may damage the facial structure during rosacea are blood vessels.

They will give rise to redness and irritation of the skin. Rosacea can be considered as a facial blood vessel disorder. The structure of the blood vessel undergoes changes that make it hyper-responsive. They become more sensitive to any products and special care has to be taken when going out in hot weather i.e. in sun. The blood vessels start enlarging and thus functions differently due to all these changes.
