Skin contains several openings from which the oil from the oil glands comes to the surface of the skin through the hair follicles. Clogged pores are responsible for many of the skin problems. Clogged pores are formed due to the accumulation of oil and dirt which gives rise to acne. Ultimately the skin looses its glow and radiance.
The size of the pores cannot be controlled as the pore openings do not have muscles. As a result the dirt gets trapped inside the pores. Many factors contribute to the clogging of the pores such as dehydrated skin, excessive use of products, improper cleansing, excessive oil production and excessive build up of dead skin cells or environment. Once the pores get clogged, the skin’s function of breathing is obstructed and the moisture does not get absorbed.
A thin layer of live skin covers the pore plug, thereby making the extraction difficult. Clogged pores can result in whiteheads, blackheads and even acne. Opt for alcohol free toner to clear clogged pores. Avoid touching your face with dirty hands and fingers. Also use wet tissues to clear the dirt sticking onto your face. Drink plenty of water throughout the day for unclogging pores. |
