What Does Exfoliating The Skin Do?

Exfoliating is a skin treatment in which the dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin are removed. For skin exfoliation loofah sponge, brush or scrub can be used. Exfoliating the skin promotes new skin to develop on the surface. Exfoliation speeds up the process of skin flaking and shedding. A new layer of skin is generated every two to four weeks. After the end of the cycle dead and old skin cells are shed. Health and complexion of the skin is improved by exfoliation. Exfoliation reduces the look of the fine lines mainly around the eyes and on the cheeks. Exfoliating soothes the skin surface and makes it look fresh.

Exfoliation is also used to clean pores that are clogged. It also promotes skin thickness which is indeed good. Exfoliation helps to get rid of brown spots that developed on the surface of the skin. It also promotes renewal of the cell. Exfoliation clears off the dead skin layer and allows the active ingredients in the skin care products reach the inner layers of the skin. By exfoliation the skin is refined and the blemishes such as whiteheads and blackheads are sloughed off. It also keeps the skin acne free and beautiful.
