Depending on the type of atmosphere everyday you are exposed to such as hot climate, cold climate, dusty environment all have different cleansing techniques to take good care of it and help it to remain healthy and glowing. Normally, skin must be cleansed 2-3 times a day. If your skin is oily and exposed to dirt, cleansing must be done 4-5 times a day. If your skin is dry then frequent cleaning using hot water must be avoided. Good cleansing can be done by using any of the following alternatives:
1. Soap: Skin must be rinsed well with water after applying soap. When the soap residues are not washed well, it can result in irritation. There are wide number of soaps available in the market. Some of them are medicated soaps, pH soaps, moisturizing soaps, superfatted soaps, transparent soaps and perfumed soaps.
2. Cleansing creams: Creams, liquids, gels, milk can be used as cleansing agents. You can cleanse your face even with baby oils and vegetable oils. Cotton dipped in milk can be used as an effective cleanser.
3. Mechanically cleansing your skin: Epidermabrasion means removing dead skin cells mechanically. Other items required for epidermabrasion include hemp cloth, sea-sponges and sandpaper. Use of non-woven polyester webs is the recent development in the epidermabrasion technology. |
