Cancer has no complete cure. Like any other cancer, skin cancer can be treated to total cure if diagnosed at the initial stages. The easiest and safest way to prevent it at the root is to operate on the affected region so that it can be removed under local anesthesia. The tissue that is removed is encircled by a section of healthy tissues which is tested in order to ensure that the cancer cells are not present to cause further damages.
If further tests reveal cancerous cells in the skin tissue, other surgeries are performed on the patient. Electrocautery is one of the surgeries performed on skin cancer patients wherein the cancerous cells are scraped away and the affected area is treated with the electric needles so that all hazardous cells are removed. Wide local excision is another form of surgery in which all parts of the skin with cancer are removed carefully along with a portion of healthy tissues. In case of Cryosurgery, extreme cold conditions are applied on the affected region to remove the cancer. There are other surgeries as well which can cure this problem completely. |
