Symptoms of Boils

Boils usually appear as red, hard, painful lumps.  Within the next couple of day, a person might begin to notice that the lumps are becoming softer or larger.  The pain may also intensify.  Eventually, a pocket full of pus will form in the center. 

A severe infection may attack the boil, if so here are some signs that a person can be aware of:

  • Swollen, red, and very painful skin
  • Several boils might begin to appear
  • Fever
  • Swollen lymph nodes

A person that is suffering might also be experiencing severe irritations and itching.  Skin boils can be a very devastating on a person’s body; however, if taken proper precautions, it will be cured.  Be sure and try to maintain a very clean living environment.  Boils can reoccur; therefore, it is important to improve a person’s hygiene to help fight against the repeating attacks.
