There are several symptoms which are seen in people at several stages of eczema or according to the type of eczema they are affected by. However some of the common eczema symptoms are given below. A very common symptom which is generally the first one is itching. They also cause lesions and blisters which are also often seen in people affected by eczema.
They also give rise to scaly, dry and rough skin. Persistent scratching on the affected areas may also lead to crusty and thick skin. As any part of the body can get affected by eczema, some of the common areas include neck, cheeks and inside of knees, ankles and elbows. They can also occur to anyone including infants and the areas where they get affected are face, neck, scalp, forearms, legs and forehead. Sometimes the symptoms of eczema may occur for short period of time while sometime they stay for longer period. Water blisters generally occur on the feet and the hands or the skin becomes wet due to infection at times. In some cases it also causes extreme pain.
Cracks start developing in the affected area and skin becomes inflamed. Moreover the affected part becomes more sensitive to various things as compared to other parts of the body.
