What Type of Treatments Are there for Dyshidrotic Eczema?

The cause of dyshidrotic is still unknown but this skin disorder requires immediate medical treatment to avoid further complications. There are many ways available, which may help to give relief as well as cure the condition completely. But still, even after getting cured, it is important to take certain preventive measures so that this condition does not erupt again. Here’s the detail about the types of treatment:

Medication:

The doctor prescribes oral medications for the patient of dyshidrotic eczema. These oral medications include use of antihistamines. Apart from oral medication, topical solutions, creams and ointments can give relief from inflammation and redness. Steroid topical creams are also found to be beneficial. In case, if there is bacterial infection due to this skin disorder then the dermatologist may advice to take antibiotics.

 Homeopathy

Homeopathic medications are also beneficial in dyshidrotic eczema. Oral medications like Nat Mur, graphites, arsenicum are effective in this. Topical homeopathic creams like Calendula are also beneficial.

Other Treatments:

The PUVA therapy is a UV treatment that in which psoralen solution is applied to the affected areas and that part is exposed to UV light. 4-5 sessions a week for a few months can give some relief.

Apart from this, using lot of moisturizers on hands and feet, avoiding detergents, using cold compresses and soaking the affected spot with sea salt can help in treatment of dyshidrotic eczema.
