What Skin Diseases Are There?

Some of the common types of skin disorders are as follows: 

1. Inflammatory disorders: Inflammatory skin diseases refer to the development of rashes. The symptoms of these diseases are redness, swelling, blistering and plaques on the skin. 

2. Viral skin disease: Any Viral skin disease is caused by different types of viruses. Chicken pox, measles and Herpes 1 and 2 fall in this category and are very painful. The symptoms include: fevers, developing skin rash and cold. Chicken pox is an itchy blister that covers the whole body.  

3. Skin cancer: This disease occurs due to the exposure of the skin to sun rays and when the harmful UV rays fall on the skin. Skin cancer can be prevented. Using sun block can help in preventing this dangerous disease.  

4. Bacterial Skin Disease: It is a condition caused by the bacteria called staph or staphylococci. These diseases are caused when the bacteria enters the skin through a break.  

5. Necrotizing fasciitis: It is a type of bacterial infection. The bacteria that cause necrotizing fasciitis release toxic agents that lead to clotting in blood vessels. 

6. Fungal infections: It is a condition caused by microscopic fungi.  

7. Candida: It is a fungal infection that affects the genital area.
